GadgetQA is a question and answer site for anything gadget related. It is 100% free, and does not require registration to post new questions or submit answers.
This site was built with the philosophy of providing a clean and uncluttered venue for getting high quality answers to your questions. Rather than having to sift through endless forums, or search through a web of abandoned articles to get answers to your questions, we aim to provide a consolidated platform where gadget enthusiasts can collaborate.
How does it work?
Begin by simply asking a question. Or flex your skills by answering someone's question. Either of these can be done without even having to register!
If you want access to some of the fancier features of GadgetQA, just sign up for an account. Once registered you can do things like post comments, vote on questions and answers, attach a profile message to your account, and build reputation. As you build reputation points and move up levels, not only does it signal to other users that you probably know what you're talking about, you also begin to gain access to more features of the site.
How to I build points?
The basic idea is that as you post good answers, users will vote up your response and you gain points. The following details the process:
- When your answer gets voted up, you gain 10 points.
- When your answer gets voted down, you lose 2 points.
- When you vote down a question or answer, you sacrifice 1 point.
Reputation levels are based on the following ranges:
- level 1 - 10 to 50 points.
- level 2 - 50 to 200 points.
- level 3 - 200 to 500 points.
- level 4 - 500 to 2000 points.
- level 5 - over 2000 points.
